Why We Acknowledge January 1 and Honor April 1
At The Hebrew Nation, we often speak about time—not to confuse, not to condemn, but to help our people live with understanding, peace, and alignment.
Many have asked:
If April 1 is the New Year ordained by Elohim, why do we still acknowledge January 1?
The answer is simple, balanced, and rooted in wisdom.
January 1: A Civil Marker We Recognize
January 1 functions as a civil and societal marker. It governs school calendars, employment cycles, finances, contracts, and daily responsibilities. Because we live within modern systems, we recognize January 1 for what it is—a practical checkpoint in the world we currently inhabit.
There is no harm in acknowledging it.
There is no failure in navigating it.
And there is no contradiction in understanding its purpose.
We do not treat January as a spiritual beginning.
April 1: The New Year Ordained by Elohim
April marks something different.
It aligns with creation itself—with light increasing, with seed entering the ground, with life beginning to move again. In Scripture and in nature, this is when renewal actually starts.
April is not about resolutions.
It is about resurrection, growth, and action.
This is why we honor April 1 as the New Year ordained by Elohim. It reflects the original order of time—where beginnings are witnessed by the earth, the sun, and life itself.
Where January invites stillness,
April invites becoming.
